“I am a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it.” This is a famous quote from Stephen Leacock and this quote sits above the desk of Lou Pupolin, the company’s original founder. Through hard work and perseverance, the company has grown over the years to become a well respected mechanical contractor with a solid customer base in the Greater Toronto Area.
In 1968, Lou Pupolin undertook his first large project in Copper Cliff, Ontario. The project consisted of six, twenty suite apartment buildings for employees of International Nickel Mines of Sudbury, Ontario.
By the early seventies,
the company expanded from low-rise residential projects to high-rise apartment buildings.
Both Luciano and his brother Edward saw the company take shape. The company continued to
complete thousands of suites per year throughout the seventies and into the eighties.
As the condominium market exploded in the Greater Toronto Area, the company took
off and became one of the major players in the industry.
The nineties gave rise to Government housing projects and the inception of Long Term Care Facilities throughout the province. Associated Mechanical continued to cater to changes in the industry and began working on many diverse projects including apartment residences for the New York State Housing Authority in Buffalo, New York and a joint venture with Nash-SM on the Atlantis Resort project in the Bahamas.
In the new millennium, the construction market is continuing to expand. Going forward, Associated Mechanical continues to grow and diversify operating with the utmost commitment to progress for the future.
